TE Connectivity unveils SlimSeal Connector Miniature wire-to-board connectors for outdoor lighting and high-humidity applications
DARMSTADT, Germany – December 11, 2017 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, has introduced SlimSeal Connector Miniature compact vertical and right-angle IP67 rated wire-to-board connectors. Intended for outdoor lighting and other high-humidity applications, including commercial refrigeration lighting, kitchen appliances, and HVAC equipment, SlimSeal connector Miniatures series meet market calls for smaller connectors with reliable waterproofing.
TE’s new connectors incorporate a press-to-release spring latch that ensures secure connector mating and prevents inadvertent un-mating. Their pre-assembled seals help to reduce assembly time, and availability of the connectors in three different colors facilitates identification.
SlimSeal connector Miniatures series have a maximum current rating of 5 A (18 AWG) or 3 A (20 - 22 AWG) and a maximum voltage rating of 250VAC. Operating temperature range is from minus 40 degrees Celsius up to 105 degrees Celsius. Contacts are in tin-plated copper alloy, and housings are in flame retardant (UL 94 V-0) Liquid-crystal polymer (LCP).
